The Behavioral Health Department operates a toll-free, 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, Central Access line to help SLO residents:
- Get mental health and substance use disorder services, including assessment
- Get mental health and substance use disorder crisis or urgent services
- Use the problem resolution and fair hearing processes

During regular business hours, Central Access staff are available to schedule first appointments for callers.
Services are available in English, Spanish, and by interpreter in other languages spoken in the community.
Who can use this service?
Anyone may use the Central Access Line. SLO residents and SLO Medi-Cal (CenCal) beneficiaries may be eligible for ongoing services.
Is there a charge for this service?
The Central Access line is free of charge. Ongoing services are free for most SLO Medi-Cal (CenCal) beneficiaries. The Behavioral Health Department helps SLO residents who do not have Medi-Cal find resources and may provide some services on a sliding scale basis.

The Central Access Line is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
